Youth events: 60M, (60MH 11-14yrs only),

Open division events: 3200/TF,

Awards: Trophies for all first-place finishes,
medals for second and third places.
Entry fee: $20 if received by December 12,
2008. Pay at meet fee: $30 “Cash
Only”
Coaches: Coaches
submitting team entries will receive 2 complimentary coaches’ passes.
Additional coaching passes cost $10. Only two coaches per team are
allowed in competition venue. ¼ inch
spikes are allowed!

Registration opens on November 3, 2008 and will close on December 22, 2008 at
12 midnight. “Please
submit accurate times for all running events.”
Scratches: Any and all scratches must be done
before registration closes on December 22nd. All entries recorded after
the 22nd will be owed for said amount.

Field Clinic
Track & Field
Clinic: On Friday December 26th form 8:00am-1:30pm there will be
a track & field clinic held at Bowen Field House for coaches and
athletes. Participants will learn
techniques and training strategies that will help to elevate athletic
performance as well as improve programs. Registration for clinic will be on
site. Clinic will consist of 4
sessions. Each session cost $20.

Starting event times should remain the same however; check-in times will
be more accurate as entries are finalized.
Athletes must check-in at times indicated prior to the start of their
race. Don’t expect on hear calls for
check in.

Liability Form for Holiday Indoor Track & Field Classic December 26-28,
2008 at Bowen Field House.
I
acknowledge that this athletic event is an extreme test of a person’s physical
and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury
and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by
terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of athletes, equipment,
vehicular traffic, actions of other people including, but not limited to,
participants, volunteers,
spectators, coaches, event officials, and event monitors, and/or producers of
the event, and lack of hydration. These risks are not only inherent to
athletes, but are also present for volunteers. I hereby assume all of the risks of
participating and/or volunteering in this
event. I realize that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on
the part of the persons
or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property
owned, maintained or controlled by them or because of their possible liability
without fault. I
certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in the event and
have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person, I acknowledge
that this Accident
Waiver and Release of Liability form will be used by the event holder titled
above, sponsors, and organizers in events in which I may participate and that
it will govern my actions and responsibilities at Great Lakes Holiday Classic.
In consideration of my
application and permitting me to participate in this event, I hereby take
action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin,
successors, and assign as follow: A) Waiver, Release and Discharge from any and
all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage,
property theft or actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to me or my
traveling to and from this event, The Great lakes Track & Field
Organization and Eastern Michigan University, its officers and members, the
FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: Their directors, officers, employees,
volunteers, representatives, and agents, the event holders, event sponsors,
event directors, event volunteers, and event officials. B) Indemnify and hold
harmless the entities or persons mentioned in the paragraph from any and all
liabilities or claims made by other individuals or entities as a results of any
actions during this event. I hereby consent to receive
medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury,
accident and/or illness during this event. I understand that at this event or related activities I may be
photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video or film likeness to be used for any legitimate
purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers and/or assigns. This Waiver and Release of Liability shall be
construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent
permissible under applicable law. I hereby certify that I have read this document
